Anya and Chris hosted their wedding at The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver last October. The venue has a lot going for it – rustic post and beam construction gives the space it’s sense of history but all amenities are updated and modern. The light-filled room is extremely flexible in terms of set-up and you can’t beat that view! Centrally located at the foot of Lonsdale Quay, it’s easy to get to, there’s tons of parking and ideal for out of town guests because of accommodation right next door. Smitten Events did a fantastic job with the decor, creating a look and feel that was understated and elegant.
Guests arrived at 4:00PM for the 4:30PM A + C’s wedding ceremony, which lasted for approximately 30 minutes. Following the ceremony, our staff tray passed wine and mineral water, and once everyone had a drink in hand, a lovely selection of warm hors d’oeuvres were offered.
Mingling, chatting and celebrating over cocktails lasted for 1 hour, and then at 6:00PM everyone took their seats for dinner. Wine service commenced as guests were seated, and both wine and water service continued throughout dinner. A few speeches and introductory remarks followed, and then a fabulous buffet dinner will be served at 6:30PM.
Two identical buffets were set up for guests, and staff assisted with service. Anya and Chris love pie and ice cream, so a beautiful and rustic display of warm pies and ‘Rain or Shine’ ice cream completed the feast. What fun!
