About This Project

Allycia and Cyrus were an absolute dream couple to work with, so relaxed and fun on one hand but when it came to their wedding, they had a clear vision for what they wanted to achieve. Their plan from day 1 was always to have a rustic barn wedding on the family farm of C’s parents. The property is spectacular, with long rolling vistas and neighboring farms surrounding it.

The farm was only 40 minutes from Vancouver but it felt like we had traveled back in time. The weather cooperated (thankfully) and the day went off without a hitch. We adore catering country weddings, they’re a ton of work but the results make that effort so totally worth it! Ashley, from Spread Love Events was so organized and on top of her game that she made or contribution a breeze

PUNJABI SAMOSAS
A traditional samosa with a crispy, flaky wrapper spiced with ajwain seeds, and a delicious stuffing of potatoes and peas…served warm with tamarind dipping sauce

ONION BHAJI
Tasty little onions balls bound together with lightly spiced and fragrant chickpea flour batter…served warm with coriander chutney

Family Style Dinner

1st Course

‘CENTRE PIZZAS’
A table sized pizza, presented on either a round platter or rectangular platter, depending on the table…an option of 2 different pizzas…a few classic margheritas; and the rest with crispy pancetta, fennel sausage, roasted garlic, onions and cheese

SPINACH SALAD
A classic spinach salad with fresh local strawberries and shaved fennel…with a light citrus dressing

2nd Course

PENNE PASTA
Penne pasta in a creamy rose sauce, with Italian sausage, leeks, roasted garlic, caramelized onions, shaved parmesan and Italian flat leaf parsley
…with a small bowl of crushed chilies per table

3rd Course

36 Hour BAROLO BEEF SHORT RIB
AAA Alberta beef, anise seed reduction jus, parsley gremolata

CHICKEN PARMIGIANO
An all-time favourite comfort food! Juicy chicken lightly breaded and fried and topped with fior de latte mozzarella…served on a bed of basil-tomato sauce

POTATO DAUPHINOISE
Oozingly rich and delicious ‘scalloped potatoes’, cut and fried in butter and served warm

WARM GRILLED SEASONAL VEGETABLES
A fresh and seasonal selection of peppers, asparagus, baby zucchini, patty pan squashes and roasted tomatoes

DESSERT

DONUT BAR
A playful way to end dinner! A selection of Cartems donuts.
