Our Favourite Venues

Vancouver and the Lower Mainland is chocked full of exceptional venues in which to host an event. Each has their own unique charms and challenges – of which we’re well acquainted. Here are a few of which we have intimate knowledge and enjoy close relationships.

Preferred Partner Venues

UBC Boathouse

The UBC Boathouse is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue.  The light-filled Main Hall with floor to ceiling windows, offers amazing views of the Fraser River and North Shore Mountains. Even with the close proximity to the Vancouver International Airport (YVR), The UBC Boathousefeels tranquil, and the sunsets are too die for!

Indoor to outdoor access is seamless –  a ceremony on the dock with reception upstairs makes the most sense because you don’t have to “flip” the room. Working out of the galley kitchen is fine for smaller weddings. For large wedding parties, a temporary kitchen set-up in the hallway by the offices works best.

As a preferred wedding caterer to The UBC Boathouse we’ve enjoyed a close working relationship with Sharon and her team and have a huge admiration for their professionalism and organization.

Robert H. Lee

The Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre is a perfect setting for your modern-classic wedding or private celebration. This spectacular venue is flooded with natural light and boasts a contemporary design with signature décor elements, including built-in lounge features, exposed cedar ceilings, and rich stone tiling. Sitting in a prime location in the heart of the newly revitalized UBC Vancouver campus, it is close to both transit stops and parking. The flexible space can be used for ceremonies only, or for ceremonies coupled with a seated reception for up to 250 guests.

Museum of Anthropology

We love the wide open spaces of MOA – it’s a blank canvass really with a lot of set-up possibilities, and gorgeous views of English Bay and the North Shore.

Vancouver Art Gallery

The VAG has the main floor – ideal for formal dining and the rotunda works well for ceremonies. The rooftop is made for cocktail receptions and dancing!

UBC Botanical Gardens

It’s the arbour here – perfect for family-style dining. The pavilion is great for a kitchen and private space for the wedding party. We’ve also seen the pavilion used as a photo studio.

CBC Studios

CBC Studios is definitely one of the most versatile spaces in the city in which to work in. Fantastic built-in lighting creates dramatic effects with minimal decor.

Telus Science World

Every summer Science World installs a huge tent on the upper deck for weddings and private events. Great views of False Creek, and the best vantage point for sunsets – truly spectacular.
